A little shop between the sea and the crater

We are Costa Mandorla — a family farming the world's most beautiful place since 2013. Our new farm shop on Via Marina, in Stromboli, is where the island comes together: a cold gelato, a warm crêpe, a good coffee, and a shelf of the honey, oil and capers we grow by hand on the terraces above. Limited, artisan, and made with the volcano at our backs.

Our story

We are simply farming the world's most beautiful place

Founded in 2013 in Ginostra — the village with the world's smallest port and no roads — we work our terraced lands by hand, between the sea and the crater of Stromboli, Iddu. Our bees are the Ape Nera Sicula, and everything we make is organic, limited and labour-intensive. In 2019 an eruption took part of our lands; we have learnt to live with the volcano, and we are grateful to it for fertilising the island.
